For Emily

I wasn't going to post today, but my old roomie is having fond memories of my rants so here goes. The War on Terror, yes you heard me say the no-no words. We are in a war. How do I know? I was there. Not on ground zero, but on board the USS Enterprise. When those damn evil bastards hit us, we were there to hit them back twice as hard. I know that sorry excuse for a President likes to use that term in reference to his political enemies, but I use it for our foreign enemies and our domestic enemies. They want 72 virgins, I'm more than happy to help them on their way. We were not at war with them. If anything we have bent over backwards and grabbed our ankles again and again. When it comes time to talk, we lean on Israel (the only real stable democracy over there) to give up land bought and paid for with their blood. We funnel millions through the bastard organization known as the UN that ends up buying rocket parts for Hamas. What happened to winning wars? When did the American citizen lose the stomach for battle? Yes, war is hell, but if you have to fight one win dammit. This is how we lost Vietnam. That fool Cronchite thought it would help his ever falling ratings to turn against his fellow Americans in harm's way. The State Run media fell into lockstep with the hard Left. When G. W. Bush was in nothing good could be heard about anything. When the surge worked in Iraq, you noticed how little the news got covered over there, right? Now that dear leader is in charge the media is in a little bit of a quandary. How can you turn against the monster you created. The Left elite hate America. Nothing pleases them more than seeing America on its knees while her enemies piss on her. I will not give this administration one iota of leeway. If they betray the Service members brave enough to write their country a blank check payable up to their lives, I will never forgive any of the incompetence that 54% of Americans voted for. Destroying the greatest economy on Earth is one thing, sacrificing brave blood for political advantage is pure evil meritous of the deepest circle of hell. Ask Judus Iscariot and Brutus, they know how it is down there.

Fueling America

Having a hypocrite as a President is very frustrating to me. Barack H. Obama feels that offshore drilling is foolish. He ridiculed John McCain during the primary for supporting offshore drilling. (Not that I am a McCain fan, I voted for him in order to cast a vote against the Anointed One). The then Senator Obama claimed that if we mere mortals would only change our oil, get a tuneup, and inflate our tires we could save all the oil underneath McCain's feet. Okay, he is a radical liberal, I get that. It is no surprise that the Left wants total control over America by kneecapping our industry. If solar, wind, biomass, whatever else the Left loves would be efficient enough to power a nation then the free market would have already pounced upon it. Don't respond to that statement by claiming all the new solar companies are out there making money, they are subsidized by my hard earned dollar. They are feeding off tax credits and free money from the government. Not that the money is free, hyper-inflation is coming and it will destroy this country. I digress, back to the hypocrite. I hope that you understand that recently the Left's puppet in office approved a loan to Brazil for their offshore oil drilling. Hmmmmm. Was it payback to George Soros? Do some homework, I'm not a reporter, go to your favorite news feed and see if you can find the story. If you can't, go to Fox News. So, its okay for other countries to drill, its not like an oil spill off the shore of Cuba will effect us in any way. I do not want government sponsored drilling, I want government to get out of the way. Let the energy companies go and get the natural resources out there. Don't counter that argument with the Left's tired claim that the scraps of land they have thrown the oil companies are undeveloped. First of all, where does the government get off owning any land? Second of all, the oil is not there. You may as well sell them leases on the moon. China and India are developing. I am not an alarmist against these countries. I just want to compete with them on a fair footing. It is no secret that the Left hates America. They hate it and want to incarnate it into their own bastardized version of fascism. When you go to fill up your car think upon this, "why". Why does the government tax the gas so heavily. Why do they want to take away your SUV and make you drive a government motors vehicle. Why can't oil companies go out and get the oil out there. Why can't you buy the gas straight from them as in a free market system. The governments (federal, state, local, whatever) are the middleman. What right do they have to stick their nose in the price of gas. Oh that's right, they don't.

"A is A" - Ayn Rand

First and foremost, I am a Conservative. I believe that the Constitution is not a living document but a document for all time. I believe that the government should take as little as possible from my hard earned money each payday and that money should go to maintaining the military and upholding their duties as assigned by the Constitution. I believe that America is "a shining city on the hill" as espoused by President Reagan. I have started this blog out of fear. I fear that if the Patriots of this country do not start to push back against the government we will begin to lose our rights. All ready, a full blown assault has begun against the Bill of Rights. Our children do not get to practice their freedom of religion in public places. Patriots exercising their right to assemble are being labeled as Nazis and paid shills. Freedom of Speech is a right that has been turned against us. It is okay to have this freedom if you push an agenda authorized by the Left. However, as soon as a Conservative begins to utilize this basic freedom of the Republic they are labeled as dangerous and since the ascent of Obama, a racist. I am not a racist. I believe that Barack Obama is the most dangerous President in this country's history. As long as I can write, I will write. As long as the censors do not persecute me, I will try to lay out my thoughts on the state of the Union. I titled this first post after a quote from my favorite writer. There are no contradictions in life. If a President seems to be destroying this country to remake it his own vision, then he is. If a 787 billion dollar "stimulus" package is passed and it seems to only benefit supporters of this said President, than it is. I invite you to share your thoughts and comments as well. If those of us that care about this country do not act, then be not surprised when we find ourselves in a different society than that envisioned by the Founding Fathers.
